This afternoon, some members of the Kent Nationalist Movement spent the entire afternoon replacing weather worn flags at the seafront in Herne Bay, which was greatly recived by the locals and visitors alike. Aswell as replacing the flags we engaged with several members of the general public who were interested to find out more about our activities and future plans for the local area, this included discussing details about our up and coming demonstration next month and our general activities across the Kent region.

We handed out leaflets about our movement to many people and exchanged details with some locals who were keen to support the next planned demonstration in any way possible, including some who offered to contribute financially to further our cause, due to the fact we were so greatly appreciated.

The main promenade is approximately 3km in length with a significantly high number of lamposts that required our flag displays to be renewed, this task took approximately 6 hours in total from several of our members but in the end it was hugely rewarding due to the positive level of reception and the hugely patriotic and proud view that this created.

In the end we did encounter a few moments of oppostion one of which resulted in a visit from the local police, this momentarily halted us, however the situation was quickly resolved once attending officers established no crimes had been commited whatsoever and they accepted they were mosty likely acting on false information provided. Despite all of this, it was a succesful day for the Kent Nationalist Movement in Herne Bay and we will be back soon.
